Welcoming in the Sabbat Season from @standingsprucefarm

Today, we welcome in Imbolc -
Our ancestors would have embraced imbolc in a multitude of ways.

We can honor these traditions with a few simple rituals:

🔥 hosting a ritual bonfire, writing down your burdens, and burning them away with sacred flame.

🕯Lighting candles to celebrate the coming light of the sun and focusing on your future goals.

🌬 Smudging and cleansing your home.

🌿 Mugwort and rosemary for dreaming and powerful cleansing.

🧹 Not as glamorous, however sweeping was not only a cleaning activity but a symbolic one. Sweeping with the intention of ridding your home of the last bits of winter and any stagnant energy left after prayers and burning.

🛁 Self care / ritual baths;
Significant Imbolc herbs are: Bay leaves, ginger, red or white flowers, and mugwort. Scrub your body, removing what’s weighing you down and releasing it with the bath water.
